Micromanagement - Clinical Review Technician Prime Therapeutics Employee Review

This job is going to be the death of me (seriously)... The past 3 years since I've worked here my health has declined greatly due to stress and anxiety. I am middle aged and have been working for 25 years of my life. Here they are always making new metrics and they're goals are almost impossible to reach. They watch every little key you press on the computer and they count every second the screen sits idle throughout the day. You must always be moving your mouse even when you are trying to read something work related otherwise they count that against you. With their new metrics I was 0.01% of a point of meeting the monthly metric requirements and for the first time in my entire life I've been coached on my job. They don't care about the quality of the work as long as you complete 5.8 cases per hour on an monthly basis. I have heart palpitations and I can barely sleep at night due to the fact I am middle aged and it's close to find another job where you're not dealing in customer service as I have social anxiety disorder. I have been contemplating suicide it's that bad since I am the only one I can depend on and can't afford life if I lose this job. And know I need inpatient mental health care because of it but even with FMLA they give you occurrences for missing time. If it comes down to it I do keep a journal so my adult children and parent's will know why. But living with them and their families not an option. But at least they will do whatever they can to make sure this never happens to another individual again. I've never been so lost in my entire life. This is the first non-union job I ever had in my life and hopefully due to my demise they'll be more sensitive to the fact that not all humans fit in the same box and they'll look at the whole picture of the individuals performance rather than putting corrective action on someone who is working to their full individual performance.
