      Decent pay for the area, though having more credentials or higher levels of education doesn't earn you more (for the most part), just how long you've been doing respiratory in general rather than your individual skill sets.

      Cons

      You don't earn more for having broader experience, more credentials, or advanced education. Work load varies between campuses, some are very reasonable, others can be downright dangerous.

      Pros

      Magnet status, Diverse patient population allows for greater experience. Trauma 1, Comprehensive Stroke Center, teaching hospital, high investment in EPIC utilization

      Cons

      Level of education of many nurses there is low, no requirement for minimum BSN, staff is young, turns over, a lot. Frustrating at times. Management not the best communicators, no constructive feedback, perhaps spread to thinly to be effective.
