Pros

I love the atmosphere, and the people I work with. I can't understand why I have stayed so long but when I think about my work associates they are family.

Cons

We are having a lot of turn over. I think they should concentrate on ways of keeping our seasoned employees because we spend much orientation of new employees.

We love to read you feel your work associates are family, we see all employees the same way. While we do have turnover, it is lower than the industry average, but I understand it may not feel that way at the department level. We are redesigning our recruiting model which I hope. Pros

Magnet status, Diverse patient population allows for greater experience. Trauma 1, Comprehensive Stroke Center, teaching hospital, high investment in EPIC utilization

Cons

Level of education of many nurses there is low, no requirement for minimum BSN, staff is young, turns over, a lot. Frustrating at times. Management not the best communicators, no constructive feedback, perhaps spread to thinly to be effective.
