Pros
This is an amazing organization for people that want to work hard and truly care about challenging/changing healthcare!! There is a ton of work to be done - and it's not always defined in your "job description" - but that's what makes taking on stretch opportunities so much more exciting. There are so many people here (myself included) that have taken on the projects outside of their comfort zone/job description because of true passion and interest in growing as a professional. While these projects never go unrecognized or appreciated, you definitely have to take ownership of hitting the pause button and sit down with your manager to talk through your career growth at the company. Things move really quickly here, which keeps the work exciting! The people here are the best part of coming to work every day. Everyone is very friendly and warm, even though most people are heads down cranking out work. Overall you'll be really successful here if you are a get it done type of person and truly look towards the big picture!
Cons
Sometimes things move so quickly here that hard work is put into a project, and then out of the blue, the project changes direction and you've spent hours of time on something that is no longer relevant. You definitely have to pivot quickly and roll with the punches, which is typically fine but sometimes frustrating. Some of the managers here have been with the company since "the beginning" yet are still fairly young in their careers and could seriously use manager training to relate to their staff and prioritize their time. Everyone at the company has experienced a "fire drill" at some point their time here. This basically means an initiative or project comes across your desk and it has been communicated as the top priority for the day, when in reality sometimes there appears to be more stress than necessary.
