Pros
Good quality product with employee discounts, good starting pay (now), generous owner, decent hours
Cons
Benefits - sure free if you pass the metrics but it’s a 3k high deductible plan. There is a boost from the owner in the form of adding money to your PayFlex card twice a year but they could do so much better. And if you have kids it’s a no because it’s super expensive. It is a sales position, but they will tell you it isn’t, not only is it sales but you are under a lot of pressure to push products and have conversations with people who just called to place their normal order or ask when Andrew will be on HSN, they call this “lifestyle” conversation and if you don’t do it you have points deducted on your call quality. It is uncomfortable to say the least, and pushy. If it wasn’t a sales job your revenue would never be mentioned either. They micromanage to an annoying level on everything. They are only in to what you can do for them and don’t really try to help you out. The call center policies are completely different from the rest of the company, and you will work on holidays unlike everyone else who is off. They say they are a family but it’s fake, it’s drama, and if you aren’t part of the IN crowd you are not important. They box you in and make it virtually impossible to change positions so movement is only possible if you are well liked. Leadership spits a great game but couldn’t do the job themselves, they have all of these rules about your calls and can look at you in your meetings and tell you how a call “should have went” and it’s all fine and well except they weren’t on a live call, they had time to listen to it multiple times and analyze it and it sounds so perfect you literally think “why didn’t I think of that” then you remember that they don’t take calls and deal with live customers. They also don’t back you up, you are limited to their policy, but if a customer goes to a supervisor they get what they want which makes you look bad. It’s all very superficial and if you are family why can’t you talk to each other about your day? Oh because that is commiserating and spreading negativity and that isn’t their culture. I could say so much more but it really isn’t worth more time.
