Pros
This company provided me with an opportunity that genuinely changed the trajectory of my life. There is room for creativity, building your brand as a recruiter and marketer, and turning this into a long term career.
Your work impacts real people - and that impact matters beyond the candidates and school district employees. There are children getting services and families in a better place (due to paid work for candidates) than they would have been due to your day to day efforts.
Every day provides an opportunity for something new.
I think that there are a lot of new grads or folks who start here as their first sales job with unrealistic expectations or skewed views on what micromanaging looks like. This company is a sales organization, you have to pay for your seat at bare minimum - and anywhere you go, you will face strict metric guidelines, especially if you are not seeing success. The way that you respond to that is a key indicator of your long term potential in any metric driven role. Manage your time, make your calls, invest in your learning, and go beyond just getting someone on an interview! We work in the market day in and day out, so we should be confident in our knowledge and really become the experts that our contractors and clients need. The AEs that I see embrace this mindset every day are the ones that see success. There isn’t a secret formula!
Cons
Benefits offered to employees could be greatly improved.
Lead sourcing gets redundant at times - especially due to recent changes in automation vs individuals sourcing their own leads and influencing their own outcomes.
There is some pressure top down that doesn’t seem to understand the reality of our market/daily work.
