Pros

Fairly good benefits although each year they are more costly with less coverage

Cons

I have worked for PHC for over a decade and I can tell you that PHC is in a constant state of reorganization. They bring in consultants on a regular basis to evaluate where they can cut costs and it is always the same answer - reduce staff. Employee moral is so low because they are always in fear of losing their jobs. Management controls the employees with a culture of fear, favoritism, and secrecy. Employees are quitting on a regular basis because the stress that is put on them is ridiculous. This makes it more difficult for those that are left because in the spirit of cutting costs the positions are not filled and the work is put on those that are left in the department. PHC says they operate in a "Just Culture" but that isn't true. This company has a culture that is run by it's blatant favoritism by management. If you are not one of the favorites, you can assume you will get the least desirable duties, and you will be micromanaged so they can document all errors. This is done in hopes that you will quite and so that they have a documented reason for not giving you a raise. If you do get a raise, you are lucky if you get 2%. They tell you straight out that it is not possible to score high enough in your review to get a decent raise.
