Pros

Public relations is on point.

Cons

Their stated missions don’t match their actions in regards to patients and employees. There are a lot of nice sentiments portrayed to the local media, but there is a reason they can’t retain employees. The last 7 years has been all about the corporation, monopolies, and politics. It has been hard to experience the decline from what was once THE Toledo Hospital to Promedica Toledo Hospital. This is a successful business that is run by successful business people who don’t have a clue what it takes to run a successful hospital. Profits are priority to this “non-profit”, who actually ended the employee pensions AND cut 401k matching to a sad 2.5%. There are also tons of stipulations to get the 2.5% match. 18 years ago the match was 10% and it slowly fell to 7% then 3%…. Now 2.5%. It’s really quite pathetic, but I’m sure the top 1% of the company will be just fine in their retirement.
