Where do I start? They are so stingy with their compensation that they actually used to request your previous year’s w-2 before they make an offer so they don’t “overpay”(that stopped when it became illegal in 2018). In fact, in my first week with PSG I had an off the record conversation with my manager and he told me “PSG’s compensation is below the industry standard.” I haven’t even touched on pay equity issues, where the person next to you doing the same exact job could be making a lot more or a lot less.
The company itself has become such a mess they can’t hold on to anyone. Entire teams have disappeared, and they just don’t bother to refill them. They cant figure out how to hire anyone because of ridiculous “knockouts” and inept managers who only hire and promote their friends.
The culture is terrible and morale is the lowest I’ve ever seen. If you’re one of the favorites you’re probably doing ok, but most of the people there are miserable. Favorites get perks and promotions, while everyone else gets the shaft. It’s become pretty standard to find out when you leave that you had less PTO than the system showed and you owe them a few hours.
Meanwhile, management won’t acknowledge any of the problems that have cut their work force literally in half. They chalk it up as one off situations, or try to convince themselves and the rest of the company the person wasn’t cut out for it, even if they were top performers. If you are lucky enough to leave on your own accord, management treats you like a traitor. The President of the company didn’t even acknowledge me or shake my hand on the way out the door on my last day when I was wrapping up for the day and he was chatting with people on the floor.
