Pros

Salary is attractive for someone right out of college- I can imagine that is the only reason why someone would take this job

Cons

They give you a script your first week and you are asked to use it like a robot for every call. Someone uses objection #1, you use the response they give you for objection one and keep repeating it until they buy or hang up the phone. That is NOT an effective way to close deals. Research some of the strategies real sales reps who are making 6/ 7 figures are doing (not the trash here who think making 65K is a ton of money). I guarantee building a relationship and LISTENING to a customer is a top reason why they bring in new business. Going off the script, whether you close or not is what they preach and practice. This place has watched Boiler room one to many times. They literally won't give a woman a sales pitch. Pathetic!

Pros

Working with PSP is unique because you have firsthand access to Major league sports material. It's cool to say I work in sports publishing. I like my coworkers and those in office with me. We have good camaraderie and keep the office culture lively.

Cons

I do not feel valued by this company. This winter we had three heavy snowstorms and when I asked if I the company would be closing for safety, my boss looked at me and laughed saying "the company doesn't care about that." Turns out many of my coworkers have had to drive through blizzards and awful conditions in order to come in multiple times. Recently the company decided to give us "summer Friday's", except in order to receive the benefit of leaving at 2pm on Friday, we had to come in a half hour earlier everyday all summer to "make sure we're not losing manpower". This doesn't make me feel like you value my time or want to make sure I have a healthy work/life balance. I'm expected to bend over backward and still preform at max capacity. I feel like the company would take an chance to screw over it's employees to cut costs and I don't appreciate working under that type of management style.
