good pay but incredibly monotonous - Direct Sales Representative Progressive Insurance Employee Review

Pros

Pay is good for an easy job. Good benefits. Extremely easy to schedule days off, even from home. Lax attendance policy.

Cons

You WILL get burnt out at some point. Quoting people all day is repetitive and answering the same questions day in and day out is tiresome. Trying to change problems within the system is nearly impossible. Good performance/bad performance doesn't really matter, you're just a warm body in a chair.

Pros

One day a week in the office. No weekends. Work from home 4 days. New hires do have to be in office 2 days for first year then go to 1 day a week. Benefits are good. Everyone is awesome. Really only had one supervisor who was a little on the micro managing side but they were new to it. Other than that VP don down the line to adjuster are all super nice and approachable

Cons

It’s a stress full job. I love it but it’s not for everyone. You have to be on your A game every day or you will get behind
