Pros

The pros of this company include the ability to work from home, annual salary increases, and typically Progressive offers higher than industry average pay.

Cons

The cons of this company include poor work life balance, poor health care coverage, extremely poor training, and a culture of harassment and work abuse. Progressive is truly a victim of its own success; as there are just too many claims coming into the organization and the work load is unrealistic and claim handling guidelines are too extraneous. In my time at Progressive I have had over seven different supervisors. Each supervisor had their own way of handling claims and all pushing adjusters to complete extra work that isn't required to close a claim. Additionally, there is great lack of professionalism at Progressive. It was common to see reps arguing with supervisors, passive aggressive notes placed into claims, and to be berated or harassed by coworkers via teams messages or emails about small claim issues. Not only that but of course clients who are unsatisfied with their coverage can call and harass or berate you and Progressive doesn't care and will always take their side even if you did your job correctly and followed policy to a tee. Additionally, the most incompetent, corporate shilling employees are the ones who get promoted. I have seen managers who have incorrectly paid out on denied claims, offered rental when rental was not available on the policy, and managers who took leave for months come back and get promoted. Meanwhile the most technically sound and competent employees who actually close claims stay stuck in their roles. So you essentially have the most competent employees being led by the most incompetent. It's a recipe for success. In my experience Progressive promotes an environment of abuse and harassment from clients and coworkers. You really are on your own and it's all political. Lastly, the health care is so poor and pitiful for an insurance company. Even with the highest plan your policy barely covers anything as you have a high deductible to meet before anything pays out. Which is sad because this job will strain your mental health and the health coverage is so cost prohibitive you don't want to use it which proves the company does not care about its employees wellbeing despite what they want you to believe.

Pros

Work from home, Ok opportunities to learn more but opportunities are becoming slim.

Cons

Between Micromanagement, work overload and with the use of vendors and AI employees are at risk. Corporate seems to not care that were all tired of the customers that are being abusive when corporates made bad decisions and these poor people have thousands withdrawn from an AI error. Pay for this level of company and the increasing headaches is not good, no monthly bonus, no commissions. No pension. Health benefits are available but not affordable. And the undo stress is causing my peers to consider quiting even ones that been here over 10yrs
