Pros

-the initial starting pay is good -self service scheduling requests -can schedule PTO the same day as long as it's not a "blitz day"

Cons

-They will force place you into a licensed role, even though you were hired to do customer service. They have a career progression form that they put out every couple of months that is used as a way for them to change your job title to a role that you do not want. They will threaten termination if you refuse to switch to the new licensed role. The new role (either Blended or CPT) will require you to obtain a sales license(they pay for the first 2 test attempts and the course), and you will be required to take not only sales calls now, but you will also still take your normal customer service calls as well which already include billing, coverage changes, technical support, vehicle additions, rate increase calls, snapshot support and anything else that the customer needs help with PLUS if you are chosen to be force-placed into the Blended role you will also handle Move out of state calls... All for only $1 more per hour(if even that) . The trickery is due to the fact that they will lure you in as a regular consultant and as time goes on they will snatch you out of your role, so please be aware! They are converting as many consultants as possible into this role so that they can get more bang for their buck profit-wise. It's great for their "bottom line" but the employees end up suffering for it! They will try to convince you that becoming Blended will benefit you, (with barely any increase in paybut a drastic increase in your duties and responsibilities) and the training is extremely lacking!! They cannot hire people immediately into the Blended role because there's a guarantee that ALL would quit during training. So they start you as a regular consultant while they still have their separate sales department, and then will eventually have you do a career progression form where you are NOT allowed to omit choices and you could literally put a licensed role at the bottom of your list and they will tell you that you were chosen due to the form, despite Blended being your last choice on the form. Oh yeah, and the form is mandatory. They will have your supervisor hound you to submit it. You may at first think that Progressive is an amazing company at first, I sure did. I didn't realize how trifling that they were until I gave pushback on the force placement and tried to stand up for myself. Then they got real thuggish. Smh. Once you are licensed to sell policies they can and will toss you and to and fro between departments. Once you are placed into a new role they will tell you that you have to remain there for 6 months so that you can't apply to other roles(you need your supervisor's approval to submit applications) but if PROGRESSIVE wants to move you to another department that 6 month timeframe doesn't apply. So they can move you from BLENDED, to CPT and to any other licensed roles before you ever even get a chance to apply for other roles. We are literally like employee Ragdolls and they treat our job titles like musical chairs... APPLY IF YOU LIKE, BUT MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE A CONTINGENCY PLAN! THE MOMENT THAT YOU CAN APPLY TO ANOTHER ROLE DO IT!!! I have friends that had supervisors that were awesome enough to let them apply for roles outside of CRM and they were able to escape the phones based role before they could be force placed

Pros

Work from home, Ok opportunities to learn more but opportunities are becoming slim.

Cons

Between Micromanagement, work overload and with the use of vendors and AI employees are at risk. Corporate seems to not care that were all tired of the customers that are being abusive when corporates made bad decisions and these poor people have thousands withdrawn from an AI error. Pay for this level of company and the increasing headaches is not good, no monthly bonus, no commissions. No pension. Health benefits are available but not affordable. And the undo stress is causing my peers to consider quiting even ones that been here over 10yrs
