Pros

Comes with security for the most part.

Cons

I have been working at Progressive for 10 years so trust me when I say that they have changed when it comes to personnel and how they handle things. It used to be that you could be human and make mistakes but now everything is so micromanaged and very much like they don’t trust you… with Growth they have hired a lot of unexperienced leaders because they need to hire leaders but their leaders end up being really poor leaders and very demotivating… They used to celebrate their employees and do you know events and things like that they don’t do that anymore. They used to show that they cared about their employees and now they have micromanaged that all out… If you don’t like to be micromanaged, and if you don’t like to be in an environment, that can be toxic. I definitely suggest that you don’t apply here… I’m actually on glass door right now because I’m looking to find a different place to work because of the toxicity. Honestly, they just want you to be a machine and if you can’t be a machine you get in trouble that’s all there is to it… my boss literally screamed at me the other day if that helps see more clearly what I’m talking about. Most of the jobs are remote now so they have to use a bunch of systems and numbers to dig in to every single facet of your job and what you do because they don’t have eyes on you and I get that but they go way too extreme with it. In addition, there’s no Grace. OK now I’m just renting… But just trust me when I say that the benefits suck now they used to be good but they keep twins away every time we get a new year… And the atmosphere is toxic… And there is no camaraderie… With the exception of one meeting a month, where you kinda talk to some of the people in your group there’s really no camaraderie… They could organize group meet up certain things like that, but they don’t. They just don’t do anything to make it a fun environment anymore will it pay the bills sure but if you need an enjoyable environment to work at this is not the job for you trust me.

Pros

Work from home and flexible scheduling, can slide schedule up to two hours to accommodate appointments, etc.

Cons

Unrealistic claim volume, it ramps up slowly when you're in training and then you start getting so many claims you don't know what to do with them. Customer service is constantly preached, but it's not possible to return voicemails, texts and emails timely while managing 20 claims a day. They keep increasing volume, and you have to spend a minimum of 5 hours a week taking live calls, during which you cannot make any calls out on your own claims, and are required to work each claim you take a call on to it's fullest point, even when they are brand new and unassigned, taking you away from taking action on your own claims that could prevent calls. They are incorporating AI and digital tools that were intended to simplify the process and reduce phone time, but customers are upset and refuse to participate, which means claims are delayed awaiting digital statements, and then need more phone calls anyway. The expectations are outrageous.
