4yThank you for holding up a mirror. There was nothing easy to read about the words you shared. The Diversity, Inclusion, Belonging Committee is still in its infancy stages. We came together just over a year ago and are still finding our footing and the best path forward to produce impactful work in this space here at Prometheus. The DIB Committee has also taken this time to learn and become educated in how to show up for fellow Prometheans. It is important to us that this group feels equipped to handle all topics in this arena.
Aside from the painful reminder that we have much to do in bringing DIB to life for our Prometheans, your note also opens another point of discussion – communication. We need to make sure our Prometheans feel comfortable coming to DIB, Promethean Services, reporting managers, and sharing this type of feedback in real-time. We would love to have an open conversation with you about where we have missed the mark and how you would like to see us get it right. Knowing that this is the first time we have received feedback of this nature tells us not only do we need to tighten up the actions and impact of DIB, but our overall open line of communication needs to be made more apparent.
