Pros

A lot of wonderful teachers who go above and beyond for their students. Staff are generally kind and bright people.

Cons

Zero accountability for students. They basically run the school and admin will make you feel bad for doing your job. They want to close the equity gap, while also listening to students’ feelings more and letting them skip class without repercussions/blaming teachers for ‘not creating a welcome classroom culture.’ This school asks for teachers to baby students to the point where it’s a disservice for real world preparation. My advice: stay for a year as a new teacher and get out.
