Pros

Good culture at the lower levels with guidance provided. More access to senior leadership without the partnership structure.

Cons

Can get a bit toxic at the mid-higher levels (manager and up) with some favouritism for the better projects. A lot of times you'll get staffed on Audit projects even when that's not your preferred area. Pay is ok.

Pros

Good Culture, decent pay, not overworked too much.

Cons

Repetitive, meaningless, and boring work, hard to pivot out of this career once started. Also, the consulting career feels like such a fake job at times. Doesn't feel like real work. Makes you question your life decisions. I'd recommend any college grads to think about their future career goals first before joining. I joined on a whim and wish I spent more time interviewing. It's been incredibly difficult to pivot out of internal audit and sox compliance once you are in it. However, if you are really good at corporate politics and advocating for yourself you may be able to pivot out of the IAFA solution . However, not sure how that lends it self if you want to leave the company.
