Pros

- Good work / life balance (40-45 hours / week is normal; lots of vacation days) - Work travel can be extensive - Good culture but it can be hard to reconnect with people when you never go to the office - Young vibe

Cons

- It's very easy to get stuck on the same project for a long period of time - Work travel can be extensive - Salary is competitive with Big Four but not with most mid-size to large / top consulting firms - It can be tough to convince Management to send personnel to specific trainings applicable to client work - The bulk of our firm's work is Internal Audit; it's very easy to get stuck on IA / SOX projects

Pros

Good Culture, decent pay, not overworked too much.

Cons

Repetitive, meaningless, and boring work, hard to pivot out of this career once started. Also, the consulting career feels like such a fake job at times. Doesn't feel like real work. Makes you question your life decisions. I'd recommend any college grads to think about their future career goals first before joining. I joined on a whim and wish I spent more time interviewing. It's been incredibly difficult to pivot out of internal audit and sox compliance once you are in it. However, if you are really good at corporate politics and advocating for yourself you may be able to pivot out of the IAFA solution . However, not sure how that lends it self if you want to leave the company.
