Pros

They really put emphasis on training you to learn a lot of new skills applicable to the solution you are in

Cons

It feels that they suck you in and trap you into a solution doing the same tedious work every day for a year...

Thank you for your feedback. Learning and development are fundamental to your growth as a professional. I am sorry to hear that you are not enjoying the type of work you are doing in your solution. The process to map consultants to a solution incorporates a number of different components, including experiences, degree, interest, skillset, business needs, and others. In order to get the most out of your career at Protiviti, I encourage you to sit down with your Career Advisor, Talent Manager, or Executive Advisor to discuss your concerns, including what interests and doesn't interest you about the type of work you are doing. There are opportunities for growth on every project and I hope that you are able to experience this during your time with us.

Pros

Good Culture, decent pay, not overworked too much.

Cons

Repetitive, meaningless, and boring work, hard to pivot out of this career once started. Also, the consulting career feels like such a fake job at times. Doesn't feel like real work. Makes you question your life decisions. I'd recommend any college grads to think about their future career goals first before joining. I joined on a whim and wish I spent more time interviewing. It's been incredibly difficult to pivot out of internal audit and sox compliance once you are in it. However, if you are really good at corporate politics and advocating for yourself you may be able to pivot out of the IAFA solution . However, not sure how that lends it self if you want to leave the company.
