Pros

Management is very understanding of a flexible working schedule. Hardly ever get push back for asking to come in late (and work late to make up the time) because of a doctor appointment or emergency. For the Houston office, everyone seems to get along really well together, making for a good work environment.

Cons

Tell you they will staff you on projects you are interesting in, however that rarely actually happens. Also, the 401k match is lacking.

As HR lead for the Houston office, I am happy to hear that you feel supported in your effort to balance work and life. I also appreciate your comments on the staffing process. Our approach to resource management involves working with leadership to ensure the right people are staffed on the right job – aligning skills with client needs. We strive to provide opportunities to develop, collaborate and make an impact. I would encourage you to reach out to your Advisor to discuss various projects that would be of interest. Thank you again for your feedback and for your contributions to our team.

Pros

Good Culture, decent pay, not overworked too much.

Cons

Repetitive, meaningless, and boring work, hard to pivot out of this career once started. Also, the consulting career feels like such a fake job at times. Doesn't feel like real work. Makes you question your life decisions. I'd recommend any college grads to think about their future career goals first before joining. I joined on a whim and wish I spent more time interviewing. It's been incredibly difficult to pivot out of internal audit and sox compliance once you are in it. However, if you are really good at corporate politics and advocating for yourself you may be able to pivot out of the IAFA solution . However, not sure how that lends it self if you want to leave the company.
