Pros
I made some career long connections. The legacy product is well known in the industry and has market share. Fully remote is offered.
Cons
Culture is extremely poor. They talk this up in the interview process, but almost instantly, you realize this is not the case. There has been drastic turnover the last 6 months from all teams. The CSO is a camper who has only worked at this company for 99% of his career and doesn’t have much experience actually selling. (Lots of campers here) The way he speaks at meetings and to individuals is extremely condescending. They were just acquired by a large company so hopefully they will start seeing the writing on the wall. The company as a whole promotes internal growth which is great, but also a tactic to continue to pay their staff way below industry average for positions. They bully people into making them think this is normal and nowhere else is better, even telling staff they don’t deserve fair wages that were asked for. (Yes this happened!) Internal teams need to be better aligned to have true success and this starts at the top. Most interactions with the CEO do not prove to be insightful and usually involve him presenting the same slide over and over again. HR will hopefully get a face lift since the head of this department has left, as well as the CMO. If you are looking to join this company, beware of the non GI products as they have acquired a few companies and the teams are still very separated from Provation and are not given the development and enhancement attention needed for them or you to succeed. Nor, have they truly done due diligence on what they bought. I believe it’s only a matter of time until sunsetting occurs. Product development is not at the caliber it needs to be in the current market- they are stuck in the ways of legacy functioning. All in all I would truly look elsewhere before joining this company - know your worth and value. There are tons of opportunities where the culture is not toxic and pay is fair.
