      Pros

      Good pay for the positions they employ. Decent growth opportunities. Great benefits if you work within the state you are employed.

      Cons

      Congruity between departments did not seem optimal. Company and various department goals seemed to change too frequently. Health benefits can be expensive if you live outside of the state you are employed. Company is multi-state but has separate top management which appears to create dysfunction.

      Pros

      (This is for Providence St Vincent Medical Center in PDX) - staffing ratios - break nurses - ONA union - coworkers on my unit are very helpful and kind (can’t speak for every unit though)

      Cons

      - upper management hates the nursing union - we are short on many supplies on weekend night shifts - crappy insurance - my unit’s manager is almost never there, they’re always on vacation or working remote. This makes our manager very out of touch with the unit’s needs
