Pros

- Providence is large enough to require a very wide variety of technology skills in its obligation to deliver modern healthcare across the Western US, maintain the pace of modernization required to meet maturing patient and skilled staff expectations, all while remaining only in the shallows of net loss. It's complicated, exciting, and has the potential to be the single most rewarding and meaningful experience of any career. - Caregivers of Providence are offered a moment to participate in a centuries old mission to care for the poor and vulnerable & all skills, faiths (incl none), and backgrounds are needed to meet that call. It's not just a mission statement. - The company has been taught the value of skills retention and development at all levels. If you want to grow, a way will be found.

Cons

Not everyone was meant to lead people, not everyone knows when it's time to move on to something else, and there really isn't a process nor is there the courage to seek out leaders who really aren't embodying a servant leader mindset. There is, in a sense, a disease of leadership malpractice and organizational self-harm just below the C suite and on down to small team leaders. Who guards the guardians?
