Pros

They give you a bag and an iPad for work

Cons

Health insurance is astronomical in cost, so you have to go thru marketplace. 0 work life balance. I was up at all hours documenting (working for free). Management does not care about how overwhelmed you are. Also, they are passive aggressive and will cut your visits if you provide them with notice. The company cares more about their bottom line than patient care. Sure the CEO donates money once a year to one patient. Whoopdedoo. THEY ALSO ARE NOT TRANSPARENT ABOUT YOUR PAY OR PAY CODES THAT YOU NEED TO KNOW TO DO YOUR JOB. This was hime health and I was hoping it was different from their atrocious reputation with long term care. It was not.

Pros

Proximity to home, flexibility provided when needed

Cons

Lack of workload balance when comparing the short term and longterm demands. Archaic unreliable technology, poor supply management, Only paid for one holiday and only if you are working. High turnover from upper mgt down. Redundancies in work processes. Many employees are paid for one position, but performing 2 to 3 other job descriptions. 30 day lead to take a day of PTO while other ppl are on PTO for months, thus causing an already strained situation worse. Lack of investment in the property by ownership. No office space for Unit Managers, one shares a small closet with a commercial ice machine, the other is in the supply closet that was once a shower. Low morale.
