Pros

The staff is great. Their knowledge is good. There are many different areas to utilize your nursing skills.

Cons

Their concern for staff overload doesn't exist. Employee turnover is very high. They are frequently short nurses and CNAs, yet they keep accepting patients. Staff is just expected to work overtime to cover the shifts that they don't have enough nurses to cover. It's very easy to burn out. Appreciation is not shown. The more you work, the more you are expected to work. Morale was very low.

Pros

Proximity to home, flexibility provided when needed

Cons

Lack of workload balance when comparing the short term and longterm demands. Archaic unreliable technology, poor supply management, Only paid for one holiday and only if you are working. High turnover from upper mgt down. Redundancies in work processes. Many employees are paid for one position, but performing 2 to 3 other job descriptions. 30 day lead to take a day of PTO while other ppl are on PTO for months, thus causing an already strained situation worse. Lack of investment in the property by ownership. No office space for Unit Managers, one shares a small closet with a commercial ice machine, the other is in the supply closet that was once a shower. Low morale.
