Pros

If you want to stand on your feet for 30 yrs the retirement system is good. They choose white managers over any other. They hire mostly Haitians who are too afraid to speak up when they have to go the bathroom. Other Moms that work here would go 7 hrs without food or water and the managers are perfectly ok with that treatment of employees.

Cons

White managers in most departments, Treat black Americans differently, purposely miss break times so they end up having to let them go before shift ends because they use them like toys and "believe" they don't have to eat or drink water or use the bathroom and do not care what, especially what happens to you because of years on your feet with no breaks, no water allowed. This is a 39 Billion/year business. This behavior and deep South racism just goes on but the persons with darker skin are visibly unhappy, hungry, used and abused but too scared to speak because they will make up some excuse to "write you up" because some human needed water or a bathroom break of 2 mins. Unacceptable and disgusting.

Pros

Good compensation including not just standard pay, but also end of year bonus 80 hours for hourly associates, 8% of your annual earnings granted to you in free company stock thru which quarterly dividends are paid, ok 401k, and gift card and other associate coupons. Good stability and growth. Good company culture.

Cons

Can be slow and resistant to change. Uses some antiquated systems and software that should have been replaced years ago. Does some things that don't make sense. Some managers can be good, while others not very good. Although these cons may be true for a lot of companies. All roads eventually lead to Lakeland where they are headquartered. Geography can be a big one if you are not a Florida native. If you don't want to live in Florida for some legitimate reasons, there can be limited job options in other states, especially if you aren't interested in retail or warehouse jobs. Standard retail negatives about not having a lot of holidays off.
