Pros
If you have a good management team, the job will seem less daunting and stressful.
Cons
More often than not, you are stuck with a management team that is constantly changing, Publix loves to "switch up" managers every 18 months or so, and you have little warning that things are changing, then you're stuck starting over with a new management team that is not used to the way things are run at your store, or they try and change everything to "make it their own". Their attendance policy is horrible; I understand needing accountability, but they are so inflexible, they end up losing good staff, but they will bend the rules time and time again for managers, and don't you dare question it. If your management team sees that you're capable, they will put as much on you as they can until you're buried in stress and everyone else's jobs. I stayed as long as I could, but the stress did not equal the pay or benefits, so it was time to go.
