Pros

Big company benefits - good HR structure, opportunity to build skill and organize rest of your life around work Smart people to work with - accomplished, modest and of great attitude. It can be a great place to work if you are with the right manager and in the right team Growth largely depends on the team and your role. It can be great if you are in the right place at the right time.

Cons

The percentage of women in development teams is terrible - only about 3 in every 100. This leads to several issues of gender bias, mostly unconscious. The system is very hierarchical - management doesn't like engineers to disagree with them and any sense of disagreement can get a lot of negative attention Performance review process is not very transparent - the manager has quiet a lot of power in it, even though the evaluation matrix includes other teams. Processes are not very well defined - this creates a lot of inefficiency and overhead to engineering project that the management doesn't account for in their schedules and timelines to achieve milestones
