Pros

- Once you're an official hire you'll never get let go. All you have to do is show up on time and pretend to to do your job. - This company is finally moving in the right direction but with a very poor attempt or approach.

Cons

- Family trumps every outsider. If you're not part of the owning family or part of a family that has been employed by QVI for a while you'll always come last regardless of your reputation and work ethic. You can have a perfect resume and a perfect interview but you're up against a 20 something year old with a GED, corner store work expirence and a last name within the company... You lose, every time. - Outdated culture in a workplace. If you're a recent hire, good luck. You're up against the worst of the worst. Anyone new gets treated like dirt no matter what department your in. This company has lost so much potential when it comes to hiring someone with great talent and seeing them go out the door within a couple months or weeks even due to ridiculous attitudes or petty drama that does not belong in a work place. Its also your typical workplace when it comes to higher ups or the guys wearing the big boy suites that wont even look your way or respond to a simple "hello" in the hallway. - You'll never get paid for your true value. The only chance you have to actually see a descent increase in pay is when you have the ability to negotiate pay. Examples; your hired rate, department change, promotion, ect. This DOES NOT include your annual review. This company already has that number in mind far in advance and sadly it'll never be more than half a dollar an hour. The supervisors are instructed to never give out 4's or 5's no matter how well you do. The review system is just a company tool to hang the dollar over your head and make you feel guilty for reaching up. - Reviews are never on time. It could honestly be months or even up to a year late. You'll quickly learn not to ask or mention that its late either seeing as that'll just elongate the process, you'll be reprimanded, and more negative notations will appear on your review. The icing on the cake is that this company refuses to retro-pay its employees as well. What's the point on even having a review date set out in advance? - Bonuses. I'm thankful and respect anything extra given to me. Growing up we're taught the idea that the harder you work the more you'll get in return right? Here at QVI this is not the case. In my most unbiased opinion there's no incentive at all. The people that see higher bonuses are the people that are favorites, employees that consistently complain about their pay and the ones that have worked there the longest. With that said it doesn't matter how hard you work or your attendance. You can work a full year without calling in or showing up late and exceed all expectations of your job but you'll only see a very minuscule bonus meanwhile the ten year employee next you shows up late almost every day, calls off at least one day a week, takes long lunches, is never to be found in the dept. and when they are, they're typically on their cell phone and their bonus is 10 times the amount of yours. Yes, this is an truthful representation of how this place operates. - Disloyal. QVI will give you the opportunity to potentially train someone with zero experience in your field to do your job whom just may be getting paid a lot more than you. This happens everywhere throughout the company. When you find this out you may want to talk to your supervisor who will tell you that they have no idea how much anyone makes and will be more upset about the sharing of salaries within the department. You really have to put up fight to get what you deserve and HR only makes it worse. In fact they make everything worse but hey, they'll offer you a nice new badge holder, hat, drawstring bag or maybe even a QVI branded water-bottle on your way out! - HR. This department needs some serious help or maybe a thorough 5S'ing. One will beat around the bush/ goes on forever and never gives you a direct answer when you have an important question and the other approaches everything with an abrasive attitude. Both of them together? They're always wrong and they put their own sarcastic opinions and two cents into everything you do.

Pros

I have only been with QVI for 3 months, but it feels like so much longer because everyone here was so kind and welcoming from the very start. Prior to coming to QVI I worked 6 years at a company with a very toxic environment. I needed a more positive place to work where I would feel valued and appreciated, and QVI gave me that and more! I couldn't be happier with my decision to come here.

Cons

I can't think of one negative thing to say about this company.
