Pros
QualityLogic is a great stepping stone into the world of tech. The company runs on contracts awarded by multiple customers throughout the industry, providing a plethora of different projects that one can potentially work on. This allows for an individual to grow in many different ways as each project contains specific requirements. This in turn also requires that you are capable of researching and retaining information, as you are given the tools to understand but there are no courses or classes to take. *Somewhat autonomous nature. There are designated test plans to follow but some projects require you to have strong Google-Fu. If you have a hard time doing anything without constant supervision and direction, you may struggle at times. *Great atmosphere - This isn't a sweatshop. While you are expected to do your job and stay on task, mingling with your coworkers throughout the day is encourage. You'll frequently hear bursts of laughter erupt from random locations throughout the office. This isn't to say the place is a circus though. While interaction is encouraged, the overall volume level stays surprisingly low. *Entry Level - if you're good with tech but don't have a degree, this is a great place to start and build your resume. *Advancement due to skills - Promotions are given based on individual performance and skill, not tenure. *A 0 Drama policy. Upper management despises drama, with good reason. If you like to gossip, this is not the place to be. *Occasional downtime with projects - Most would find this as a con, however, individuals who are capable of keeping themselves on track will find this rewarding as downtime periods are perfect opportunities to improve documentation and skills.
Cons
*Can tend to get stale - For those who have a hard time keeping themselves entertained, you may find this to be a deal breaker. The work will get monotonous. Usually your lead or project manager will work closely with you to prevent this but there are inevitable times where you will be doing the same thing for months straight. Like all companies, there are small problems here and there, but overall, I feel there are no real, major problems. Generally, if there are any problems, they are related to a project itself, which in no way reflects upon the values or procedures at QualityLogic.
