Pros
Free lunch! There’s always something interesting and fun going on to encourage stepping away from your work, although it doesn’t happen often because you’re quite busy most of the time. Depending on your manager, work life balance will be encouraged and some remote work. Overall, the people that work there are fun and easy-going, and that helps make the workload tolerable. Compensation is above average for what you would see in the energy sector for certain positions. Benefits are absolutely great and they have a lot of incentives that you can get rewarded for.
Cons
Getting promoted seems to be the most difficult unless you know the right people. They would rather higher less competent, incapable people from the outside and pay them promoted positions/salaries rather than promote up from within the company.
