Pros

Easy Job. Not a lot or effort required good place to start with entry level. Decent pay compared to other organizations. Wide array of benefits to optin. 401k. Dental Vision. Medical. Tuition Reimbursement

Cons

Attendance policies and productivity expectations are unrealistic. Extremely high turn over and awful retention rates. In a team of 38-40 we lost 20 people in 1.5 years. I received 4 days of one on one training and shadowing while others received a full 2 weeks or more. Corporate has no clue about the little man and has unrealistic productivity numbers. No one higher up cares. It's all a numbers game. They dont care about retaining qualified seasoned employees. They even fired a co-worker going through a miscarriage. A physicians note will not excuse an absence, even for legitimate illness or injuries. Not a lot of areas for advancement only moving laterally.

Pros

The voluntary separation offer was good.

Cons

I and hundreds of colleagues were transferred from Providence Health & Services to R1. We were told we were guaranteed our jobs for a year. They started offering voluntary separation packages less than a year in. This was suspicious. I didn't take the first couple of offers, but eventually I did - things were feeling uneasy. Since leaving I've heard that there were several layoffs. R1's India team has taken over a lot of the coding we were doing. In the reviews I read before we started with R1 I know losing jobs to the India team was common. I'm glad I left when I did but it's been hard finding a new job.
