This is a fast paced company where you will never run out of things to do. - Operations Lead R1 RCM Employee Review

Pros

The company offers a fair salary for the amount of work that you are asked to complete on a weekly basis. There are weekly meetings so that you can establish what tasks should be prioritized. The company has multiple team building outings that are very nice and serve as a good way to build team dynamics across departments so you can interact face to face with other managers you normally only communicate with through email.

Cons

Do not expect much company training on what you do on a daily basis, or how to do it when you first arrive here. This is an environment where you have to go out and learn everything for yourself and you have limited time to learn from other managers who are on a strict time table to accomplish there tasks. There is a high level of ambiguity at this position since you will constantly be moving between task to meet the varying demands of multiple clients on a basis of who is the loudest whistle blower. Expect to work at home on projects during the week, and around 1-2 times a month you will need to complete work over the weekend.

Pros

The voluntary separation offer was good.

Cons

I and hundreds of colleagues were transferred from Providence Health & Services to R1. We were told we were guaranteed our jobs for a year. They started offering voluntary separation packages less than a year in. This was suspicious. I didn't take the first couple of offers, but eventually I did - things were feeling uneasy. Since leaving I've heard that there were several layoffs. R1's India team has taken over a lot of the coding we were doing. In the reviews I read before we started with R1 I know losing jobs to the India team was common. I'm glad I left when I did but it's been hard finding a new job.
