Pros

Small growing company in the Health Care industry. There is lots of opportunity for this business model and therefore, the company will likely continue to grow for quite some time. There are some very talented people working here.

Cons

Culture is somewhat confrontational. Small company going through growing pains of becoming a medium sized company, so, very few formal processes are in place. So, it's all about knowing who to go to to get something done.

Pros

The voluntary separation offer was good.

Cons

I and hundreds of colleagues were transferred from Providence Health & Services to R1. We were told we were guaranteed our jobs for a year. They started offering voluntary separation packages less than a year in. This was suspicious. I didn't take the first couple of offers, but eventually I did - things were feeling uneasy. Since leaving I've heard that there were several layoffs. R1's India team has taken over a lot of the coding we were doing. In the reviews I read before we started with R1 I know losing jobs to the India team was common. I'm glad I left when I did but it's been hard finding a new job.
