Pros

Our company was acquired by R1. The team I work on is fantastic, without them I would have been out the door after the acquisition. I love working from home. I feel valued specifically by my team (not R1) because I’ve received a few bonuses for my efforts that were unexpected.

Cons

The HR and IT departments are not great. It takes FOREVER to get things done through the ticketing system. Then they close tickets without fully resolving the issues. Annual raises are only about 2-2.5% a year. For example, I am getting $50 extra bucks a paycheck this year but received an exemplary review. They did not take inflation into any account. If I hadn’t made a name for myself in the previous company, I’d feel lost in R1RCM.

Pros

The voluntary separation offer was good.

Cons

I and hundreds of colleagues were transferred from Providence Health & Services to R1. We were told we were guaranteed our jobs for a year. They started offering voluntary separation packages less than a year in. This was suspicious. I didn't take the first couple of offers, but eventually I did - things were feeling uneasy. Since leaving I've heard that there were several layoffs. R1's India team has taken over a lot of the coding we were doing. In the reviews I read before we started with R1 I know losing jobs to the India team was common. I'm glad I left when I did but it's been hard finding a new job.
