Pros

Nothing. There’s not one thing positive about R1

Cons

R1 has absolutely no loyalty to their employees . The pay is disgustingly low this is the reason they can’t retain employees. You can make more flipping burgers. They just demoted all the managers to team leads. People are working 60-70 hours a week because they can hire people. It takes 6-8 weeks to finally start working because it takes 30-40 days for a background check, have to have vaccines , etc. Their hiring recruiters aren’t employed by R1 so they don’t care how long it takes to hire someone. The list could go on and on why you should not work for R1

The voluntary separation offer was good.

Cons

I and hundreds of colleagues were transferred from Providence Health & Services to R1. We were told we were guaranteed our jobs for a year. They started offering voluntary separation packages less than a year in. This was suspicious. I didn't take the first couple of offers, but eventually I did - things were feeling uneasy. Since leaving I've heard that there were several layoffs. R1's India team has taken over a lot of the coding we were doing. In the reviews I read before we started with R1 I know losing jobs to the India team was common. I'm glad I left when I did but it's been hard finding a new job.
