Pros

They offer great schedule flexibility

Cons

The company often outsources to teams in India with little to no notice and leaves you constantly feeling like you could be laid off at any point. Pay is extremely low.

Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear you are not content with your current compensation and, additionally, we are sorry to hear that you do not feel secure in your position here. Although some roles have changed to create more efficient processes, R1 leadership and the talent acquisition team are continually looking to retain and grow our employees throughout the organization. We encourage you to talk to your manager or HRBL to see if there is another role at R1 that would be a good career growth opportunity for you and give you more confidence in your job security.

Pros

The voluntary separation offer was good.

Cons

I and hundreds of colleagues were transferred from Providence Health & Services to R1. We were told we were guaranteed our jobs for a year. They started offering voluntary separation packages less than a year in. This was suspicious. I didn't take the first couple of offers, but eventually I did - things were feeling uneasy. Since leaving I've heard that there were several layoffs. R1's India team has taken over a lot of the coding we were doing. In the reviews I read before we started with R1 I know losing jobs to the India team was common. I'm glad I left when I did but it's been hard finding a new job.
