Pros

Great associates and coworkers, the work diverse and is never boring.

Cons

Terrible staffing model. Technology is archaic and IT is a joke. Senior leadership doesn’t care about the boots on the ground they just want to keep the budget low and their bonuses high. Measly pay for both entry level (~$17 hr) and management (with the work hours required it equals out to roughly $10 hr). Breaks and lunches are non-existent but they sure will make you take your break and punch out. Managers are the solution for every call off because they are salary. Double shifts are common. Triple shifts are also common. Don’t expect to have a life outside of work.

Pros

The voluntary separation offer was good.

Cons

I and hundreds of colleagues were transferred from Providence Health & Services to R1. We were told we were guaranteed our jobs for a year. They started offering voluntary separation packages less than a year in. This was suspicious. I didn't take the first couple of offers, but eventually I did - things were feeling uneasy. Since leaving I've heard that there were several layoffs. R1's India team has taken over a lot of the coding we were doing. In the reviews I read before we started with R1 I know losing jobs to the India team was common. I'm glad I left when I did but it's been hard finding a new job.
