Pros

reasonable hours for mid-career professionals

Cons

no continuing education options, no development, senior leaders behave as if they are the only one who have new ideas, failure to delegate and develop successors, would not want to be an entry level corporate employee

Thanks for the review; we’d love to talk about what we’re doing in these areas. We provide our managers with internal leadership forums to enhance their leadership skills and get to know other leaders three times per year and provide all managers an opportunity to participate in regular hour-long webinars on supervisor related topics. In addition, we have an online learning path and two-day in-person training for all new managers, and a weekly manager blog article, and each department budgets dollars for job-specific training opportunities. We have also established a talent assessment process and provided ad-hoc coaching opportunities to a number of individuals. We have an online library of courses available to all associates to develop their soft-skills, and offer a tuition reimbursement program. As we’ve grown, it’s also created opportunities for our corporate staff, in 2014 over 20% of our job openings at our corporate office were filled with internal promotions.
