Pros

stable if you know how to sell, sell , sell. you will grow fast if you are good at sales. they do not care about your educational background as much, they do care about your Canadian Securities Courses more than anything else. If you know how to make management happy, you will grow! If you have a micromanager style, you will grow! If you are submissive, you will stay as a receptionist-forever and retire with a guaranteed base salary of $1800 monthly

Cons

you will not grow as an internally candidate if you do not sell; even if your dream job is not sales related. It's better to apply as an external candidate if you want a very specific position that is not sales related. Once you are in retail, you will stay in retail.

Pros

Stable work life balance. The culture is really great, very easy to work with complex management and managers. Willing to help you grow and learn with clients

Cons

Not a lot of room for growth unless you come in the door with that expectation. It can be very easy to get stuck in this role as your pay slowly increases and the job title mostly stays the same. Associate promotions and raises are rarely given and take a lot of coercion to get.
