They offered me a position, and I was eager for a change, so I sacrificed a 15-year career to come work for Reef Technology in spite of low pay and mediocre benefits. Then I was laid off TWO MONTHS later. They made it clear that it was not performance related and that they had just decided to eliminate the team (?) that they had just hired me for. I never even got a chance to get health care or other benefits.
Even in the brief time before the layoff, the culture is hypercritical and seems to be based on giving you very poor training and then criticizing you if you don't understand it, even though it is largely incomprehensible. I actually picked up the training much better and faster than average, but I still just got complained at.
Their software systems are a mess and you will have to try to keep four or five poorly designed systems in sync.
They also require you to be tracked by an app that uses camera and GPS. Very Big Brother-esque.
