Pros

Supportive colleagues and the flexibility to work from home.

Cons

Performance evaluations are not handled properly. Even when all objectives are met and often exceeded, performance reviews fail to reflect this accurately. Achievements and above-expected results are not recognized appropriately, leading to frustration and a lack of motivation. The evaluation process seems disconnected from actual performance and accomplishments.

We understand that performance evaluations and the return-to-office policy are concerns. Performance evaluations were completed in May, and we strive to communicate results promptly. If you feel that your performance rating does not reflect your contributions, we encourage you to reach out to your senior leader for clarification and to continue that conversation. Regarding the return-to-office policy, we recognize that the transition can be challenging. However, many global technology companies, including those in Macedonia, are returning to office work. Our Skopje facility is one of the largest in the country, with many parking spaces available on a first-come, first-served booking basis and ample parking in the surrounding areas/malls. To support collaboration, we’ve established a schedule for employees to be in the office twice a week, fostering teamwork and engagement. We provided a two-week notice to help everyone adjust. Our goal is to create an environment where everyone feels valued and supported. We welcome further suggestions for improvement and look forward to ongoing dialogue to address these concerns. Pace of change is high and can create ambiguity at times. Processes, internal alignment, and ways of working are still evolving. Requires proactive communication and ownership to navigate effectively.

Pros

The people I worked directly with were supportive and talented, and there were opportunities to learn if you were proactive.

Cons

Leadership frequently shifted priorities, making it difficult to execute long-term strategies or feel like work had a lasting impact. Communication around organizational changes often lacked transparency, which created uncertainty and hurt morale. The marketing organization felt under-resourced relative to expectations, and employees were expected to do more with less. Career growth and compensation did not feel competitive with the market, and recognition for strong work was inconsistent. If you’re looking for a stable environment with clear direction and long-term investment in employees, look elsewhere.

Our goal is to create an environment where everyone feels valued and supported. Our newer Career Elevation Strategy gives global team members visibility into career progression, and even more recently, we are working on a rewards strategy as part of that effort.
