It’s a decent paying job and love the first shift hours. 6am-230pm with a 30 minute lunch and two 15 minute breaks. Nice breakroom with several drink machines two snack machines and two refrigerated machines with chicken sandwiches, burgers, and lots of other food items. Also have a coffee machine which is free and has coffee, hot chocolate, different flavored addition options also. And an ice machine and two big refrigerators, air conditioned also. Smell of chemicals, your hands will be stained and get covered with paint and other varnishes and you’ll have to scrub your hands several times each day. Most of all the products you make or use have a warning label saying they can cause cancer. Hot in the summer, chilly in the winter. Can’t have fans in fill off area due to static. If your a good worker you’ll notice eventually there are several employees who don’t hardly do anything all day and still have a job and the top workers usually have to pick up the slack but the boss winter say anything rarely. Hard to advance if you’re a hard worker bc they don’t want to lose someone who’s essential to production. All people who get promoted are usually the brown nosers or have family that works in management. Strict point system, 12 points in a 12 month period can get you fired unless like myself you’re a valuable asset to the company, I had 20 points a few times and they adjusted it for me for a year or so but fired me eventually for 14.5 points after four years of employment which is understood. Co workers like to rattle on people. Only on location to smoke or vape. No sleeveless shirts, pants required and steel toes as well as safety glasses. Physically demanding in certain positions. But lots of line positions consist of standing in same place all day doing easy tasks repeatedly.
