Thank you for your feedback, I am particular pleased that you have mentioned the friendliness of the staff at RSM as I do think that we have a very strong team of people that work well together in the faculty. We have a mix of clients within Risk which reflects the history of the practice. As the practice used to be primarily public sector focused we do have a large number of public sector clients albeit across a wide range of sub-sectors including Housing, Museums and Galleries, Healthcare, Education and Central Government as well as international bodies such as the UN, World Bank and IMF. Importantly, we also have teams that specialise in corporate clients and in financial services work. Both of these teams are growing rapidly with more growth forecast; as indeed is our corporate sector-facing technology team. Salaries are benchmarked against our competitor firms on an annual basis and salary increases are based on performance in role. I note that you currently work for RSM, if you would like to discuss your feedback further, please do not hesitate to contact me as we are always happy to listen to people with ideas as to how we might improve. Richard Smith, Head of Risk Assurance

Pros

Good compensation package and training

Cons

They do not have a supportive Resource team that are keen to assist associates in transitioning to the choice of industries they prefer. A request to switch industry should not take close to a year to complete. Audit folks are expected to be working from January to March due to busy season which is fair. However, prior to hire, HR should be make it clear to candidates about the holidays expectation. Lower levels associates are not allowed to take holidays in December as we are expected to be on standby during Christmas holidays for inventory counts.
