Pros

- Young audit team and very social - everyones in the same boat with exams etc. so great team spirit - Progression of responsibility is fast, getting involved in most areas of the clients business within one year. - Clear job progression to supervisor and manager etc. - Respectful of overtime, always trying to minimise it. Not as bad as the big 4 from what I've heard.

Cons

- As a placement student there was a lack of continued training. Initial internal training was great, but unless you've previously studied accounting it can be hard to keep progressing throughout the year. - Some months you would barely be in the office (travelling to clients offices during the week) which can make it hard keep a good out of work routine going (gym, social, etc.)

Thank you for your feedback. As we increase the number of placement opportunities we will ensure that your comments on areas we can develop are modelled into the programmes. Equally it is good to see that many of the features of the placement have been received positively. Best wishes in your future career and we may even see you returning to the business in a full-time capacity. Jonathan Ericson, Head of Audit

Pros

Good compensation package and training

Cons

They do not have a supportive Resource team that are keen to assist associates in transitioning to the choice of industries they prefer. A request to switch industry should not take close to a year to complete. Audit folks are expected to be working from January to March due to busy season which is fair. However, prior to hire, HR should be make it clear to candidates about the holidays expectation. Lower levels associates are not allowed to take holidays in December as we are expected to be on standby during Christmas holidays for inventory counts.
