Pros

I have worked for a few companies, but never for one that really cared about its employees. When I joined RTI, I was told that they do not treat employees like a number but as members of a company family. When I talked to my friends, their companies left them hanging during the government shutdown. Not RTI, they took care of us.

Cons

Can't think of anything right now.

Pros

RTI doesn't just talk the talk but they walk the walk when it comes to caring for their employees. I felt valued before I even started on day one as an official employee. Most times federal contractors are onsite with their customers and therefore don't see or interact directly with their actual employer on a regular basis. As a result, it is easy as the contractor to feel detached. The RTI has mastered the art of caring for their employees, even from afar. They maintained regular contact with me, made LONG trips to meet with me in person and genuinely looked out for my well-being. I truly appreciated the many ways that the owners and staff individualized their attention to me as not just an employee but a member of the RTI family.

Cons

The only "con" that I would mention is that holidays aren't paid. I started working for the company toward the end of the year when holidays are numerous. The team worked with me, however, to find mutually beneficial workarounds. Also, the company is small so there aren't a ton of different career opportunities but they are growing and do everything they can to keep their employees employed.

Thank you for your feedback. Actually, we do pay Holidays. The Holidays, Sick, and PTO are all included in the 6 weeks of Paid Time Off we accrue. We will make sure to explain the PTO better during our onboarding.
