The employees in the Castle (their headquarters) are extremely lazy and unwilling to help, Management are only concerned with making things look good on the outside and tend to throw teams under the bus. The culture was portrayed as a fun and supportive family, but it turned out to be a very negative, political, unhelpful mess. The company got acquired at the beginning of the year and went private, and is now in a MASSIVE lay off mode. The are laying off new top performers while keeping hold of lazy San Antonio based employees who are doing the bare minimum to get by. Would never want to work for a company like Rackspace every again.
