Pros

Pay is decent and so is the location. You'll find a nicely stocked kitchen and a convincing attempt to put "fun" into the culture via happy hours and events.

Cons

Company lacks the basic foundations needed for a principled culture. This is largely due to inexperienced middle management, deceitful company practices, and all the negative holdovers the current company inherited from its disgraced former CEO and his original team. The ad tech space is constantly changing and responding to things like ad blockers and native ads, but you get the sense that R1 isn't well-prepared to respond to industry dynamics and could quickly find itself displaced by a faster thinking competitor.

In Downtown San Francisco. Smart people on the team. Fun industry.

Cons

Culture was toxic and it started at the top with the CEO. The CEO was a young and arrogant leader that treated people terribly and took no ownership of his poor decisions.
