Pros
Consistent overtime for hourly yard employees, immediate supervisors seem to care about their employees, knowledge is readily shared, lots of experienced employees to learn from, 401K matching (up to 4%).
Cons
Giant corporation, decision makers rarely have any immediate knowledge of the realities on the ground, pay is sub-standard, dangerous industry, very top-heavy structure; lots of money is wasted on executive bonuses instead of the tools, resources, and man-power needed by the yards and workers who actually generate the income. Overtime is not generally optional, AKA work-life balance is not great.
