Pros

Accelerated commitment to new IT systems, the new acute care pavilion, leadership development, and employee engagement. Clinical personnel strongly connected to mission. Numerous opportunities for clinical professional development. Unit and department-level initiatives aligned with organizational strategic planning. Shared decision-making forums include direct-care staff.

Cons

Competing priorities. Competing resources. As of yet, lack of clinical and administrative infrastructure to fully support vision to be a leader, recognized nationally and internationally, for excellence in patient research. As a registered nurse, I am not a fan of the nurses union, UNOCH. They do not speak for me or my best interests.

A lot of auto-mony and remote or hybrid options. Great work-life balance.

Cons

Leadership is uninvolved in operational challenges. Routinely get the "do your best". Lack of leadership oversight in research programs - often unaware of the risks and challenges.
